How to bake a chocolate cake
Ingredients
1 3/4 cup Flour
1/2 cup cocoa
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 cup White Sugar
125g Butter
2 Tbsp Golden Syrup
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup Milk
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp vanilla essence
Icing ingredients
50g Soft Butter
2Tbsp Water
1Tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 1/2 cups Icing Sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 180°C
Mix your flour, cocoa, baking powder and sugar
In a different bowl add the butter and golden syrup and melt in the microwave for 1 minute on high
In another bowl whisk the eggs and stir in your milk, baking soda and vanilla extract
Add the butter mix and milk mix to he dry ingredients and beat on medium speed for a minute
In a lined 20cm cake pan add your mixture put it in the oven at 180° fahrenheit
Cook for 50-60 minutes and let it cool before you decorate it
ICING
Whisk Butter and Icing Sugar together.
Add water and cocoa powder.
Whisk together (add water slowly to make sure that the icing is the right consistency).
