Finders Keepers

Day 1 - chapter 1 - end 3 30/5/19
Characters - Danny, Patrick, Claire, Judith, Paul, Estelle, Computer man,

Plot summary - This is a story about a young boy named Patrick.
Patrick has always wanted a computer so on his way home after Michael
has turned of his street he walks to the computer shop and tries to find
a computer that is on, when he does he finds a game to play, one day when
he was playing a game it said on the screen that he was invited to play a
game on channel 8 at 10pm exact then he has a chance to win one million
dollars. He told his sister and Estelle but they didn’t believe him neither
did Michael.

Day 2 - chapter 4 - end of chapter 4 31/5/19
New characters - TV host
Plot summary - In this chapter he goes to buy new shoes with his mum
and he thinks that he going to miss out on the TV show. Then after his
mum buys the shoes Patrick asks to go home, but his mum said no let’s
watch the clock turn 10:00 and we can both get a drink. Then he gives
up on winning and calls the TV programme stupid. He has a pouchy
attitude until he scans the floor and looks at all the shop and finds a
TV shop!!!!.

Day 3 - chapter 5 to end of chapter 6 - 04/06/19
New characters - Lucky Lance Lamont, Boopie Cupid, Camera men,

Plot summary - On Saturday morning Patrick woke up and was bursting
with excitement to go on the TV show when his Mum says “Patrick are
you ready to go buy some new shoes” but Patrick said “ I can wait until
next weekend” but his mum insists because she had already planned it out.
Patrick thinks it all over and he’ll never win the computer or $1,000,000,
until he finds a TV shop. Then he gets sucked into the TV and he tells
Lucky that his Mum will be looking for him then he meets the seekers
looking for there lost items.

New characters - Maxie, teenage boy
Plot summary - Patrick finds out that he doesn’t get to choose the
clue he has to pull it out of a hat. He reads the first row of words
and it turns out it the worst one he could he got. Boopie takes Patrick
to another room where he meets someone else called Maxie he’s quite
grump but he helps Patrick get ready and adds the pin to his shirt.
Maxie tells him that it beeps when the item is near. Then he goes
out of the TV and the hunt begins.

Plot summary - Sunday was wet and miserable so Patrick’s mum decided that
they might as well go and waste some time at the Chestnut Tree Village mall to
waste some time. He went to the antique shop opposite the big clock and he
re-read the clue and saw Clyde O'Bryans missing object he knew because his
beeper brooch beeped. Claire came up behind him and said “Patrick can you
hear that beeping” Patrick backed away and Claire said you missed it silly.
He went home and counted his money but he didn’t have enough for the
antique so he asked his mum if she could pay him if he did chores
the next day. The next day Estelle came round to babysit and Patrick
wondered if she could take him to the Chestnut Tree village mall it turns
out that she could only take him on a Saturday because every other day
she was busy. Patrick asked if she could pick him up at 8:30am she said yes.

Plot summary - Travelling by bus was a lot slower than travelling by car,
because it took them until 9:30am to get to the Chestnut Tree village mall.
Patrick asked Estelle if he could go to the antique shop Estelle said I just
come with you so you don’t get lost, Patrick said no just go have a cup of
coffee that’s what mum does. So Estelle went to have a cup of coffee, and
Patrick went to the antique shop. It turns out that the birds weren’t for
sale but the man at the shop gave him a book. Patrick was annoyed but as
he walked back to the table Estelle was sitting at the beeper brooch still
beeped. Then he had learned and read the clue so many times he
remembered it in his head the lost item was the book!!
“I’LL BE BACK SOON” Patrick yelled to Estelle. He ran to the shop
that he went to the last time and he went to the same TV set and turned
it to channel 8. The TV host said are you ready Patrick. Patrick said yes

a yellow envelope it was his Grandfathers will Patrick thought seriously
he waited all week for that. He got the worst prize on the wheel so he
decided to carry on.

Day 7- chapter 12 and 13 - 18/06/19
New characters - Two worker men, Guards
Plot summary - He pulls out the next clue and gives it to Lucky. Lucky beams at Wendy and says sorry Wendy you will have to wait. Patrick gets Eleanor's clue and goes with Boopie to the room were he goes back home, but the computer breaks Maxie says it will take an hour or 2 to fix. Patrick can’t get back to Estelle for a long couple of hours. Boopie brings him to the cafeteria, a whole bunch of people come in. Wendy Minelli comes in and says “I guess I shouldn't be talking to you but as long as it is not about the find we should be alright”. Wendy takes Patrick to where the barrier is. After about five minutes of them being there one of the guards go to their tower and another guard (a different one) comes out for their shift. Things fall out one of the guards throws it back to hard and heaps of things fall out. They are up to their knees in stuff when they hear a siren and Wendy says that is the Department of barrier works squad.

Persuasive writing
WALT: We had 30 minutes to complete writing a persuasive
piece of writing I was against this idea.
